Sand and Activated Carbon Filter for Drinking Water Purification Plant
Product Introduction
Pretreatment system is a process which uses one or several filter media to purify high turbidity water under pressure. As an important complement to the water treatment plants, it is designed to improve the water quality, especially to guarantee the RO and UF membrane’s service life and finally protect the whole water treatment equipment. The common filter materials are quartz sand, activated carbon,manganese sand and resin.
Sand filter is mainly used to remove the water suspended particles, organic matter, microorganisms, colloidal particles, chlorine and some heavy metal ions. It will reduce the turbidity of raw water. For example,while the raw water is less than 20 degrees,the turbidity of water will up to 3 degrees.
Activated Carbon Filter
Activated Carbon filter is mainly used to absorb odor, organic matter, colloid,residual chlorine in the water. When the filtration completed, the turbidity of water, chroma and pollution will all reduce
Softener
Softener is mainly used to remove calcium, magnesium and certain other metal ions .It will protect the membranes from scaling and blocking

2. Water temperature: 5-45 degree.
3. PH range: 6.5 - 8.5
4. Hardness: 600mg / L (caco3)
5. Turbidity: ≤ 10NTU
6. Pollution Index: SDI <5
7. Iron: <0.3mg / L( If iron >0.3 and manganese >0.1, Iron remove filter recommended)
8. Free chlorine: <1mg / L
